STUDIO ESSE

ESSE (eh-see): Essential nature or essence.

We AIM TO capturE YOUR unique essence and manifest it into something tangible, valuable, and comprehensive. EXPRESSING WHO YOU ARE AT JUST A GLANCE, IN ORDER TO ATTRACT WHAT IS MEANT FOR YOU.

You attract what you express; we are here to make sure you’re showing all you have to offer.

To hold up a mirror, immerse ourselves in the world of every client, and co-create artful, strategic, and magnetic brands.

Connection, Expression, Growth, Insight, Spirit.

ABOUT ESSE

The word “esse” came to my attention in the process of writing my business plan, as I was contemplating what I uniquely have to offer as a graphic designer beyond web and branding services. While reading about my Human Design, a blueprint to live in alignment with our values and gifts, I discovered my born strength to be quintessence– to express something in it’s purest form.

The gift of quintessence lies in the ability to reach in and find the gold that dwells within each and every person. Esse stems from quintessence, as the core of my work is to express the true form of every business and creative who comes my way. It also is my initials (ES) reflected on itself, which nods to the tagline “let me be your mirror”.

MEET ELENI SOPHOCLEUS

Before founding Studio Esse, I worked as the lead graphic designer for Concept Lab, an internal creative consulting team within Target HQ. In this role, I integrated strategic thinking into my design process by  partnering closely with marketing, innovation, guest insights, trend, and brand management teams. I led the design for large-scale  projects supporting senior leadership; creating immersive room  installations, internal team branding identities, presentations, and visuals that helped bring big ideas to life. I also served as Lead  Coordinator for Target’s Associate Network, organizing workshops and events to support a community of early-career designers.

Beyond corporate work, I’ve partnered with small businesses, non-profits, and creative entrepreneurs on branding, marketing assets, and social content. I also co-founded a few community-centered events like The Imaginarium Studio and Care-Full: An Art Gala, where I led design and direction to bring local artists, musicians, and makers together in shared spaces.

As a self-taught painter with a Bachelor of Arts, I aim to bring both structure and spirit to my work. My artwork has been featured in shops, galleries, and publications around the Twin Cities, as I seek to express my inner vision and connect with the outer world.
